Spraying Liberty® Herbicide Successfully | Crop Management Strategies using Glufosinate

This product has many strengths. They include weeds with little resistance, non volatile, and exceptional broad spectrum on weed species. However; this contact herbicide is subject to one of the great mysteries of plant physiology, the production of nitrites in the plant, the metabolic process of glutamate and ammonium to form glutamine from a catalyst. Glutamine is a key enzyme in the nitrogen metabolic pathway in organisms.

This topic can be fun as it helps us find a simple way to easily assess our fertility levels on the nutrients that are held by the soil's exchange sites. Jon speaks about the value of finding a common sense assessment of what ratios are optimum vs good enough vs a problem in soil fertility. Cation exchange capacity is part of the caculation of figuring the base saturation size, AKA how many exchange sites are available vs how many cations occupy the sites in the soil colloid.
